The 'Undo' Button

I love the 'undo' button on the computer, don't you? You make a mistake and you hit the button, your fingers get crossed up and you hit the button, you realize what you just typed was not what you meant to say and you hit the 'undo' button, you realize you really don't need to purchase that item and you hit the 'undo' button.

I wish life were the same way. There have been times when I wish I had sounded more positive, or wish I had said "No' when I didn't, wish I had not taken the time to make one more stop and therefore been late or add in one more thing and therefore have been stressed. Times when I've wished I had made one more stop or had taken the time to do one more thing, times I needed to take time for myself, or give an ear to a friend, times when I know I would have felt better about myself if I'd said 'Yes'. If only I could have the 'undo' button in life. Do you feel this way?

As we move into 2010, what is it you would like to undo. What would you like to leave behind, not do anymore, not think about anymore? If we carry forward the same 'baggage' we've been carrying with us for years, we insure that the future will be the same as the past. Our thoughts and therefore our behaviors (actions) will remain the same. Is that what you really want? I want my 2010 to be very different from my 2009, what about you?

As I make a list of the distractions I will no longer allow to consume my time (focus is important to reach my vision), the resentments that really don't matter in the big picture of my life (so why continue to hold them?), the expectations that never came to fruition (were they realistic or under my control?), the family members I had hoped to change (you'd think I would have learned by now!) or the excuses for not exercising....my finger is creeping closer and closer to that 'undo' button. It's a fresh start...what more can I ask for?

Would you like a fresh start? What will you 'undo'?
